Coamo took on Patillas in front of a lively crowd.

Coamo got a strong outing from Ewan Mackenzie as the Termales defeated the Patillas Cuervos, 9-2, at Estadio Graciano Figueroa. Mackenzie got the win, improving to 13-11. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs.

Coamo first baseman Garry Mallandain contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 59th hit of the season and put the Termales ahead, 4-2.

"I loved our energy," said Coamo manager Melchor Herrera. "I loved the way we played."

The second-place Termales go to 49-45.
