Macabeos Win Nail-Biter
The Trujillo Alto Macabeos eked out a 2-1 win versus the San German Golondrinas at Parque de las Golondrinas. Nobody did more than pitcher Víctor Hugo Velásquez. He was terrific. The win was credited to Álvar González in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Ciriaco Bartra took the loss. The win puts Trujillo Alto at 6-6.

Trujillo Alto used the timely hitting of Pedro López to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Macabeos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said López.
