Valencianos Earn Win with Late Rally
Coliseo de los Valencianos was the site of a tense game between the Canovanas Chupacabras and Juncos Valencianos.

The Canovanas Chupacabras got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Piñero, but the Juncos Valencianos still won the game, 3-2. Piñero threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win went to Ruy Herrera in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Napoleón Galindo took the loss.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Juncos trailing 2-1, Nicolás Zamora hit a fastball from Napoleón Galindo to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Valencianos had a walk-off win.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Canovanas manager Héctor Martínez.

Juncos is now 32-54.
