Corceles Win Again, Streak Now at 10
|
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Santa Isabel Corceles.
The Santa Isabel Corceles picked up a win at Coliseo Aldo Gallardo, dropping the Yauco Corsos, 4-3. Luis Larios, who finished 5th in the LH in ERA with 2.06 in 1902, was the difference-maker. Larios, now 5-12, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 1, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs.
Mamerto Carrión drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Santa Isabel. In a tie game with two out in the top of the sixth, Carrión came through with a run-scoring walk. It put the Corceles in front, 4-3.
