The Lares Fieles picked up a win at Estadio de Lares, taking down the Arecibo Lobos, 5-3. Starting pitcher Pedro Castro was a big reason why. In 7 innings, Castro surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. Cristóbal Sánchez closed out the game, earning his 5th save.

Lares took a 5-3 lead on Sancho Salgado's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Salgado hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Arecibo pitcher Eugenio Franco visibly frustrated.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Castro.

The Lobos, at 33-44, have lost 6 straight games.
