Matadioses Suffer 2-1 Setback
|
In a tight contest between the Fajardo Insolentes and the Anasco Matadioses, Julián Barrera was the determining factor. The Fajardo right-hander sparkled in his team's 2-1 win. Barrera went the distance for Fajardo. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. Fajardo is now 25-43, Anasco 32-36.
César Pérez made it 2-0, in favor of Fajardo when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Insolentes went on to win.
"Tough loss," said Anasco manager Juan Arriaga. "This one will sting for a while."
