Marcianos Take Home 4-1 Win Over Luquillo
|
The Luquillo Soles and Lajas Marcianos delighted fans at Campo de los Marcianos.
The Lajas Marcianos topped the Luquillo Soles, 4-1, in Liga Betances action at Campo de los Marcianos. The standout performance belonged to Lajas pitcher and London, England, native Alistair Oakley. Oakley, now 11-4, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 1, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.
Eduardo Torres hit a run-scoring triple off Aldo Hernández in the bottom of the second, which put the Marcianos in front, 1-0. Torres had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Lajas manager Meliteo Anguino. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Lajas is now 39-23.
