González Brings A-Game, Tainos Beat Marineros
|
The Gurabo Tainos locked up a win at Estadio de Gurabo, knocking off the Barceloneta Marineros, 6-2. On the mound for Gurabo was left-hander Nuño González. He played a major role in the triumph. This win makes it 7 in a row for Gurabo.
González, a native of Carolina, Puerto Rico, was dealing all game. He kept Barceloneta hitters off-balance, while giving the Tainos 9 quality innings. González threw 101 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 4.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Gurabo manager Oscar Lugo.
