It wasn't easy but the Salinas Pescadores made it look that way.

Starter José Reyes shut out the Juncos Valencianos despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Salinas Pescadores cruised to victory, 4-0. Reyes allowed only 6 hits and rang up 1 strikeout but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

Currently Reyes has a record of 2-0 with 8 strikeouts and 8 walks in 31 innings and a 1.74 ERA.
