The rain did not keep Barquisimeto and Merida from finishing their game.

The Barquisimeto Crepusculares topped the Merida Caballeros, 6-3, in Liga Oeste action at Caballeros Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Barquisimeto pitcher Gustavo Cano. After today's action, Barquisimeto sits at 57-66; Merida slips to 66-58.

Barquisimeto right fielder Eurípides Rodríguez helped the Crepusculares go up, 2-1, in the top of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Rodríguez hit a run-scoring single off Merida pitcher Shaun McKinnon.

After the game, Barquisimeto manager Ernesto Camarillo applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
