The Ponce Senores converted a terrific effort from starter John Burry into a win over the Villalba Mercaderes at Estadio de Villalba. The Senores won the game by a final score of 4-2. Picking up his 5th save was 20-year old left-handed pitcher Héctor Espinosa. Villalba is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 9 games.

Ignacio Jaramillo, who is tied for 10th in the LH in doubles with 12, had a direct impact on the outcome. Jaramillo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Ponce up, 3-2.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Jorge Rosales told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
