Quebradillas Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
Facing elimination, the Quebradillas Corsarios were looking for a savior. For today, at least, Alberto Garfias delivered.

At Campo de los Corsarios, the 24-year-old pitched a game for the ages to fend off the Toa Baja Jinetes and help the Corsarios close their deficit in the Campeonato de las Ligas. Garfias threw a 9-inning, complete-game shutout in the 2-0 Quebradillas win, striking out 6 and allowing 1 hit. The Corsarios now trail 3-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Garfias allowed no runs on 1 hit over 9 innings for the Corsarios. He walked 3 and struck out 6.

"Alberto was able to execute his pitches," said Quebradillas manager Pablo Tovar. "Simple as that."

The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, November 23rd , 1904 at Estadio Armando Sandoval in Toa Baja.
