Maples Hammered by Browning, Drop Game 2 to Hopper Boys
With first baseman Pete Browning leading the charge, the Buffalo Hopper Boys defeated the visiting Norwalk Maples, 4-2, in Game 2 of the Interlake Series. Browning went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once at Buffalo Silo to help Buffalo force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Adam Hodge chipped in for Buffalo, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4.

Buffalo manager Tom Poorman called it "a darn good win."

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Syrup Park in Norwalk.
