Andres Ortega went the distance at Buffalo Silo to drag the Utica Half Moons back to parity with the Buffalo Hopper Boys. The left-handed Ortega needed 122 pitches to get through the complete game effort, which the Half Moons won, 4-1. The clubs are now tied 1-1 in the best-of-5 series.

The famously hardworking Ortega handled the Hopper Boys all day, notching 2 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 6 hits. Ortega goes to 1-0 on the year with 2 strikeouts.

"Andres did a tremendous job," said Utica manager Martin Bate.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Buffalo Silo in Buffalo.
