Shrdlu Lifts Navegadores to 13-7 Triumph
|
At Estadio Graciano Figueroa, the Coamo Termales and Naguabo Navegadores were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Naguabo Navegadores handed the Coamo Termales a loss at Estadio Graciano Figueroa. The final score was 13-7. Etaoin Shrdlu was one of the major contributors for Naguabo. In addition to his 3 singles and 1 home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Reliever Karim Anbar picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Ewan Mackenzie, who is tied for 6th in the LB in wins with 10, took the loss.
One of the clutch hits for Naguabo came from one of their biggest talents. In the top of the seventh with two out, Frank del Castillo, who is on pace for 137 RBI this season, hit a 2-run single to put the Navegadores up, 10-7. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Naguabo manager Herminio Salcedo Díaz.
The Navegadores improved to 40-14.
