The Loiza Pleneros topped the Naguabo Malditos, 13-4, in Liga José Padilla action at Parquecito de Loíza. The standout performance belonged to Loiza pitcher and London, England, native Roy Robertson. Robertson got the win, improving to 11-9. He gave up 8 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. He allowed 4 runs. The win makes Loiza 51-43.

Víctor Gómez had a big grand slam home run for the Pleneros in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Loiza leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Pedro Medina and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Pleneros on top, 7-1.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Pleneros manager Ricardo Vega.
