Cabo Rojo Maravillosos starter Telégono Lugo turned in a top-notch performance against the Santa Isabel Petisos at Parquecito de Santa Isabel. The result was a win for the Maravillosos, 4-1. In 8.2 innings, Lugo surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. At 35-57, the Maravillosos find themselves in 12th place in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Lola Rodríguez de Tió.
Cabo Rojo used the timely hitting of Alcibíades Ponce to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Maravillosos ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
