Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. José Hernández of the Merida Caballeros had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 12-1 win over the Maracaibo Independientes at Estadio de Maracaibo.

"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."

José Hernández singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Thus far this year, Hernández is batting .375 with no home runs, 16 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
