Guanica Panas pitcher Mauro Chavén blanked the Guayanilla Tormentas, 2-0, at Parquecito de Guánica, tossing a 5-hitter while issuing 1 walk and collecting 5 strikeouts.

After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club.

"I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Chavén said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."
