Stubbs goes 4-for-5 in Utuado Win
|
The Utuado Serranos knocked off the Cidra Sabaneros, 6-3, at Parquecito de Cidra. Taylor Stubbs was a big reason Utuado won. The second baseman was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Ismael López earned his 4th save in 4 chances. The first-place Serranos have won 4 straight games.
With Utuado leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Stubbs hit a sinker from Cristón Cantú for a 2-run double. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Serranos ahead, 3-0.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Stubbs told the Utuado Daily.
