The Vega Alta Lirios reigned over the Dorado Defensores in damp conditions.
In a tight game between the Vega Alta Lirios and the Dorado Defensores, pitcher Mateo Rojas was terrific on the mound. The Vega Alta right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Flavio Inay locked down his 3rd save.
Vidal Saltos hit a 2-run triple off Francisco Peña in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Lirios in front, 2-0. Saltos had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Saltos.
The 12th-place Lirios lifted their record to 32-55.
