Macías Powers Aranitos to 5-1 Win

The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Comerio fans at Parquecito de Comerío.
Bonifacio Macías was a major factor in the 5-1 Comerio win over Morovis. The Aranitos third baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Ernesto Linares. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0.
Macías had a timely hit for Comerio in the bottom of the sixth. With Comerio trailing 1-0, he turned a 1-1 curveball into a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season, making it 2-1, Comerio.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Aranitos manager Felipe Chavarría, "I like our chances."
The win for the Aranitos lifted their record to 46-32.
