The Cabo Rojo Maravillosos racked up a win at Parquecito de San Germán, bumping off the San German Hermosos, 6-5, in 12 innings. René Gildo, who started for Cabo Rojo, pitched effectively for his team. Asdrúbal Perla collected his 4th save. The 'W' lifts Cabo Rojo's record to 35-38.

Xavier Simmons found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the 12th. Facing San German hurler Efraín Ayala, the 20-year-old center fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 9th RBI of the season put the Maravillosos on top, 6-5.

"René was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Cabo Rojo manager Alejo Zarco.
