The Lajas Marcianos and Yauco Corsos played an entertaining game for Plaza Cósmica de Lajas patrons.

The Lajas Marcianos overcame a good performance by Yauco right fielder Gaudencio Mayorga to knock off Yauco, 5-4, at Plaza Cósmica de Lajas. Mayorga went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. With the win, Lajas raised its record to 24-23.

In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, the Corsos allowed the Marcianos to take a 5-4 lead on a base hit and Yauco error.

"Credit where credit is due," said Mercado, "this was a team win."
