The Salinas Olimpicos picked up a win at Parquecito de Maunabo, knocking off the Maunabo Tranquilos, 6-3. On the mound for Salinas was right-hander Luis Nieves. He played a key role in the triumph. Catón Gil earned the save, his 6th, for the Olimpicos. The Olimpicos are now 33-31.
Esteban García was vital to the Salinas win. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the top of the third with two out, García hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-1, in favor of the Olimpicos.
García attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
