Chiringas Shut Out Camorristas, 2-0

The Juncos Chiringas had to overcome a fine effort from Fajardo pitcher Napoleón Serna to win, 2-0, at Parquecito de Fajardo. Serna went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Braulio Paredes got the win, improving to 9-6. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and no runs, while striking out 3 and walking 4. At 24-35, the Chiringas find themselves in 12th place in the Liga José Padilla División Rosendo Matienzo Cintrón.
Juncos third baseman Lisandro Segura said the only thing on his mind when he came to bat with the bases empty in the top of the sixth was making good contact. He did that much, and more! Segura hit a solo home run to stake Juncos to a 1-0 lead. His 14th home run of the season came off Fajardo pitcher Napoleón Serna.
Segura said afterward that "winning is the goal."
