Cotorras Move on to Serie Interdivisional
On paper, the Rio Grande Cotorras will be credited with a 3-0 sweep of the Canovanas Chupacabras in the Serie Eliminatoria, to advance to the Serie Interdivisional.

In reality, said starting pitcher Ezequiel Vásquez, it was a lot harder-fought than that might suggest.

"They are a great team and although we won every game, it wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination," he said.

Rio Grande won the final game by a 5-2 score at Campo de los Chupacabras.

Vásquez earned series MVP honors for the Cotorras, with a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He also had a 1-0 record and 7 strikeouts.

The Rio Grande Cotorras don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Cidra Palomas - Hatillo Canarios series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Serie Interdivisional schedule will be announced after the Serie Eliminatoria finishes.
