Serie Preliminar Game 1 Goes to Aguas Buenas, Thanks to Cortés
|
The Aguas Buenas Mulos powered past the visiting Canovanas Chupacabras, 3-2, in the opener of the Serie Preliminar at Parque de Aguas Buenas. Aguas Buenas starting pitcher Manuel Cortés threw 9.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Mulos now lead the series 1-0.
The Chupacabras had trouble solving Cortés, who surrendered 2 runs on 4 hits over 9 innings.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Cortés. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Parque de Aguas Buenas in Aguas Buenas.
