Taos Takes 1-0 Series Lead with Walk-off Win
The Taos Artists took the first game of the Interdivisional Series in dramatic fashion, topping the Tucson Highwaymen in a ninth-inning, walk-off, 8-7 win. Highwaymen left-hander Timoteo de Armas was impressive in the loss. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4.

The Taos Grounds crowd erupted in the bottom of the ninth when Aimar Salas won it for Taos with a run-scoring single. For the game, Salas went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.

"There was a kid in the stands with a sign that said 'Taos Artists (probably) 1906 Championship of the Frontier Champions'," Salas told reporters after the game. "I told him, 'Premature, but I like the confidence.'"

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Taos Grounds in Taos.
