The Inverness Thistles picked up a win at Inverness Fields, topping the Perth Caber Tossers, 6-4. On the mound for Inverness was right-hander Ignacio Vélez. He played a principal role in the triumph. Inverness reliever Jonathan Chalkley picked up the win, while Ewan Baxter took the loss for Perth. The Thistles, at 66-58, sit in second place in the Baseball Federation of Scotland & Ireland Lig Ball-steidhe na h-Alba.

Had Hernán Ramos not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ramos hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Thistles.

In postgame comments to the Inverness Bulletin, Ramos said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
