Floundering Picudos Lose 7th Straight
The Naguabo Navegadores topped the Ceiba Picudos, 3-2, in Liga Betances action at Campo de los Picudos. The standout performance belonged to Naguabo pitcher and Houston, Texas, native Ted Balloon. The Navegadores improved to a lofty 31-11.

Frank del Castillo drove in one run for Naguabo. With one out and the game tied in the top of the eighth inning, del Castillo, who finished 5th in the LB in RBI with 111 last year, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Ceiba hurler Sebastián Henríquez, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to give the Navegadores a 3-2 lead.

"We've got to get out of this funk," said Ceiba manager Mark Sparkman.
