In a low-scoring tilt between the Oshawa Engines and the London Regulars, 21-year old right-handed pitcher Darío Mendoza was the difference-maker. The Oshawa right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Oshawa is 4th in the Eastern Great Lakes Association Canadian Independent Baseball with a record of 59-64.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Tomás Pérez? The 26-year old catcher Pérez stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Oshawa up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.
