Matt Patterson hurled a fine game for the London Regulars at Cavaliers Grounds, holding the St Catharines Chicken Chuckers to 4 hits in a shutout win.

"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," London manager Solón Muñoz said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."

The right-hander had 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 1-0 victory.

"An outstanding job," St Catharines manager Louis Lebreton said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."

This year, Patterson has compiled a 13-11 mark with a 2.24 ERA.
