The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

Miguel Elías was a major factor in the 6-3 Bay City win over Bad Axe. The Sugar Beets left fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Fred Brokaw picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 8-12. Pirro Álvarez, who is tied for 10th in the WGLA in strikeouts with 61, was tagged with the loss.

The Bay City dugout showed signs of unrest at times. But the Sugar Beets put this one in the win column with some good pitching and some timely hitting at critical moments.

Bay City, at 36-44, sits in 4th place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Huron.
