Another day, another victory for the red-hot Corozal Maduritos.

Corozal beat Orocovis at Parquecito de Corozal, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Pacífico de la Cruz. He went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Humberto Díaz, who is tied for 8th in the LJP in wins with 10, was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 6 hits, with 7 walks and 10 strikeouts.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Corozal. That's when Jaime Flores, who is tied for 9th in the LJP in stolen bases with 17, hit a run-scoring double off Ángel Leal to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Flores said.
