Sánchez Spins 3-0 Shutout Against Ceiba
The Ceiba Comesopas manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Rio Grande Zarzas. The Comesopas were overpowered by Rio Grande starter Víctor Manuel Sánchez, who hurled his club to victory, 3-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Héctor Navarrete said.

Over 9 innings, Sánchez blanked Ceiba on 4 hits with 5 walks and 4 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Sánchez said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

Checking out his stats for the season, Sánchez has notched 8 wins and 4 losses in 13 starts. His ERA is 1.59 and he's struck out 88 batters in 113.1 innings.
