Anasco Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Anasco fans at Jardines de los Matadioses.
The Anasco Matadioses trumped the San German Golondrinas, 6-4, at Jardines de los Matadioses. Anasco right fielder Sebastian Roussel was terrific. He was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The losses continue to mount for San German, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Anasco trailing 4-2, Roussel jumped on a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Efraín Ayala and hit a grand slam home run to right-center. With one swing, the Matadioses had a walk-off win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Roussel, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
