Guayanilla Scrapes Out 7-3 Win
The umbrellas came out during the Guayanilla-San German contest at Parquecito de Guayanilla.

A 4-RBI performance from the 22-year old shortstop Eduardo Gutiérrez helped the Guayanilla Tormentas beat the San German Hermosos, 7-3. Alrigo Leitez, who went 9 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 13 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 2-2.

Gutiérrez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 changeup from Ángel Olivo, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Tormentas a 7-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Gutiérrez.

"We did the things that it takes to win a game," said Gutiérrez.

Guayanilla is now 18-26, San German 32-14.
