Despite the rain, the fans at La Cenadora enjoyed a good ballgame.
Vieques turned a fine outing from starter Euríalo Martínez into a victory over the Culebra Careyes at La Cenadora. The final score was 2-0. Vieques reliever Elías Saldaña picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Melchor Dimas took the loss.
Vieques took a 2-0 lead on Damien Clerc's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Clerc hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Culebra pitcher Melchor Dimas visibly frustrated.
"Euríalo -- I just love the competitor in him," said Zumbadorcitos manager Jesús Pérez.
The Zumbadorcitos now have a mark of 17-22.
