Fans at El Escombrón witnessed the Yauco Napoleonicos blank the Lajas Fobianos, 4-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Mallon Nelson. The Yauco right-hander allowed 5 hits in recording the shutout.

"Mallon was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Yauco manager Príamo Zepeda said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."

So far this year, Nelson has compiled a 7-2 record with a 1.71 ERA.
