Though the conditions were not ideal, the Dorado Defensores and Vega Baja Dulzones came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Dorado Defensores locked up a win at Parquecito de Dorado, knocking off the Vega Baja Dulzones, 5-2. On the mound for Dorado was right-hander Matt Read. He played a major role in the triumph. Read got the win, improving to 5-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 5 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs.

Antonio Padilla came through for Dorado when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a first pitch cutter to center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Vega Baja manager Jesús Ramos.

Dorado is now 24-12, Vega Baja 17-17.
