At Parquecito de Trujillo Alto, the Canovanas Criptidos and Trujillo Alto Arrecostaos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Trujillo Alto starter Víctor Hugo Velásquez put the Canovanas offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Arrecostaos to a 5-0 win. Trujillo Alto occupies second place in the Liga José Padilla División Rosendo Matienzo Cintrón at 21-14.
Velásquez allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings for the Arrecostaos. With the win, he is 5-4 with an ERA of 1.81.
"Víctor Hugo had good arm action, good stuff," said Trujillo Alto manager Ambrosio Zarate.
