Caciques Get Clutch Win, 9-8
The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

The Orocovis Caciques wiggled past the Arecibo Lobos, 9-8, at Coliseo Carlos Mujica. The win was highlighted by the performance of Orocovis pitcher Hipólito González. Gabriel Reyna snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Juan Luján in the bottom of the 13th. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 35-year old right-handed pitcher Octavio Carreón to win it for Orocovis and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Luján said.

The third-place Caciques are now 19-22, the Lobos 18-21.
