Not everyone stuck through the 66-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Catano turned a good performance from starting pitcher Keegan Daly into a 4-2 triumph over the Canovanas Chupacabras at Parque de los Guardacostas. The Guardacostas improved their record to 20-21 with the win over Canovanas.
The Chupacabras had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Guardacostas going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old second baseman Mateo Serrano came to the plate. Serrano hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 sinker from Canovanas hurler Raúl Jaramillo. It was Serrano's 2nd double of the year.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Serrano.
