Sánchez Finds Groove in 2-1 Rio Grande Triumph
|
Víctor Manuel Sánchez pitched a gem to lead Rio Grande to victory over the Carolina Belicosos, 2-1. The 11th-place Zarzas have won 6 in a row.
Sánchez kept the Belicosos under his thumb. He scattered 9 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 12. The left-hander upped his season record to 5-3.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Sánchez told the Rio Grande Times.
