The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Corozal fans at Parquecito de Corozal.

The performance of Roberto Navarro proved critical in helping Corozal beat Jayuya, 8-6. The Maduritos third baseman was 2-3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs. Corozal pitcher Acasto Hernández earned the win, hiking his record to 3-4. Eugenio Lugo suffered the loss. Picking up his 1st save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Gabriel Ruiz.

In the top of the ninth, Gabriel Esparza stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Picachos were trailing 8-6, but had the bases loaded. That's when Gabriel Ruiz made a terrific pitch and Esparza flied out. Gone was the dream of a Jayuya comeback.
