The rain came, as predicted, but the Naguabo Malditos and Juncos Chiringas were able to complete their ballgame.
Right-hander Gustavo Támez mesmerized the Juncos Chiringas while leading the Naguabo Malditos to a 6-0 victory. Támez yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-3.
It could have been a different outcome for Naguabo, had it not been for Luis Velásquez, the 17-year old first baseman . Velásquez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Naguabo up, 2-0.
"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Juncos skipper Pedro Figueroa said.
The 'W' lifts Naguabo's record to 11-13.
