Jacinto Soto kept the Templeton Red Onions hitters from doing much damage at The House of Sorrow.

Templeton could only muster 8 hits and draw 1 walk against the left-handed Soto, who controlled them throughout the game. Newport won the contest, 4-0. Soto added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Soto told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."

His record this year is 17-17 in 33 starts and Soto has a 2.25 ERA.
