Scott Stratton, who is tied for 3rd in the SNEA in wins with 22, propelled his team to victory over the Stamford Locksmiths. The final score was 4-3, New Haven. Stratton yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 22-9. The first-place Regicides, at 80-49, now lead their division by 13½ games.

Stratton broke a deadlock in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly, putting New Haven up, 4-3.

"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Stamford manager Matías Ortega.
