Submersibles Chop Down Madonnas, 2-0
|
Submersibles Park was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring contest, Falmouth pitcher Cristóbal Pérez was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-0 win. The Submersibles saw their record improve to 54-66.
The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the ninth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Cranston trailing 2-0, Gustavo Boites needed to get a big out. On a 2-2 fastball, Belerofonte Manriquez struck out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.
